The Chicken Always Drives...

Finn has a farm set that he loves to play with that is complete with a tractor, trailer, farmer and miscellaneous farm animals. For some reason the chicken is always placed in the driver's seat of the tractor...perhaps Finn knows something we don't? Maybe chickens are smarter than humans?

We also have learned a new trick that is great fun and gets lots of giggles...Finn has started to climb onto the coffee table (not a new trick) and launch off onto the couch. Unfortunately, his launch isn't very powerful and it is mostly just a downward free fall. If we are lucky he lands on the couch. Great.

Finn also sustained another bite at daycare, this is the third one in the toddler room. Luckily, to my knowledge, he has not bitten anyone and hasn't taken up that hobby at home consistently.

Grandma visits

Finn enjoyed some time with Grandma Patty reading books and doing puzzles two weekends ago.

Splish Splash

We spent the weekend in Wisconsin Dell's for a pediatric conference which meant that Finn and his daddy got to spend some time with some friends from Duluth, MN (the Karstens')splishing and splashing at the water parks. The louder and busier areas seemed to freak him out a bit but after awhile Finn settled in and even went down a couple slides (the little kiddie ones that is). The first time down was accompanied with a look of terror and panic but after a brief pause at the bottom as the water splashed up over his face and I scooped him up, he began to giggle. Then he watched daddy go down the slide and he thought that was the most hilarious thing he ever saw and he wanted to go down again and again.

Wednesdays are great days!

Wednesdays are great days! Garbage day...which at our house involves one short little guy and one tall guy sprinting to the front door yelling "truck" or in the little one's case "ruck", as they run to the front window, followed by "hi", "whoa" and then finally "bye bye" as the garbage truck departs. Five minutes of glee!
