Our first official post...Christmas 2009! We were supposed to pack up the car and head to South Dakota so Finn could have a fun filled Christmas with his cousins, however the weather had other plans for us. Due to blizzard conditions at the Corn Palace, we stayed put in Wisconsin. Finn was able to visit Santa at the mall. He did a great job waiting in the very long line and smiled as we watched other kids sit on Santa's lap. When it came time for Finn, the story had changed and apparently Santa was no longer any fun. Finn cried his little face off!
Christmas morning started at 6am, Finn's usual rise and shine time. He walked out and looked at the tree lit up in the dark with gifts underneath, looked up and said, "WHOA"! We spaced out gift opening over the course of the morning as he would quickly lose interest in present opening. His two favorites from Santa were of course a new ball and also the bouncy Rody horse.
Despite a disappointing start to our holiday vacation, we have enjoyed spending time as a family and getting some rest...at least until 6am!
